The nine gems ring, or in Thai ‘Noppakao’ or ‘Nopparat’ and also ‘Kao Nawarat’, is a symbol of ‘Navagraha’, the nine heavenly deities that influence human life, that will bring the highest level of prosperity to its wearer and it will also bring the highest level of goodness to its wearer. It is believed that whoever holds all the gems will receive the highest level of prosperity.
The auspicious meanings of each gem are as follows:
Diamond – power, wealth, and defeat against enemies.
Ruby – fortune, status, career, growth, and longevity.
Emerald – bravery, protection from danger, and faith.
Topaz – charm and being loved by others.
Garnet – longevity and long life.
Sapphire – love, mercifulness, wealth, and abundance.
Moonstone – purity, peace, and victory against enemies.
Zircon – victory in lawsuits and conflicts as well as wealth.
Chrysoberyl (Cat’s Eye) – divine protection and protection from fire.
